As many will know, The Calgary Zoo was hit hard during the flood and the disaster is greatly compounded by so many specialty needs for the care and control of our animals.
Carstar decided that instead of just having a hootenanny with the usual Stampede shenanigans, they'd make it into a fun time and a fundraiser all in the same boot!
Carstar magnanimously donated $50 for every guest who showed up, with all funds going to the restoration of the zoo and temporary care of the displaced critters. And, Gerry, president of good ol' Blue Circle pitched in with a cheque for $500, as a generous gesture of support to both Carstar and The Calgary Zoo.
