Why We Ride

When I was up in Edmonton and visiting Cycleworks, I had the pleasure of spending part of my afternoon talking to the General Manager, Alicia Dubovsky. A couple of things about that in itself, since Alicia has earned herself a demanding position and done so as a woman in what may be construed as a man's world, and done it at a young age too. Kudos to her for the hard work and commitment!
We talked a lot about the importance of providing great service and making a personal connection with people who you encounter as you go about your business, whether they're customers or not. We all have a mutual love of motorcycles and riding, and that shared enthusiasm is a great way to build relationships.
This concept inspired Alicia to share with me a very cool documentary film, as she gifted me a copy of the film 'Why We Ride'. She described how it had affected her while she watched it and sure enough, there were some amazing moments in my own viewing that had me a bit teary eyed too! It's going around our office and will also be lent out to some other motorcycle enthusiasts, so no doubt it make an impact onall of them as well!
