61? Pshaw!

Mary started riding when it "wasn't proper" for a woman to be on a motorcycle
I just celebrated my 61st birthday and took a few good natured jabs from some friends about getting old and crusty. Really, I don't feel all that old and plan to keep it that way by staying fit and active. Still, one does start to wonder what things will inevitably happen to the body and mind in the latter years and just what is possible for a person in their 70's, 80's and 90's.
Of course, not everyone will be so lucky to be fit and able to do what this 90 year old has done over the years but it should be an inspiration to those who do feel age is a barrier. Gloria Tremontin first climbed on a bike when she was 16 and was bit by the riding bug immediately and has never looked back. Now, 74 years later, she's still riding and plans to make a cross country tour when she hits the century mark. Good luck Mary, an original Motor Maid!

Mary was 89 when this photo was taken, on her way to Florida from New Jersey
