Southern Road Trip

Kyla and I took the Blue Circle message with us on a road trip recently, heading down to Lethbridge via some back roads and then along Highway 22 toward Pincher Creek before swinging back east to The Windy City. And windy it was, though we did have sunshine and such beautiful scenery that it was easy enough to ignore.

First stop was in Nanton, to top up the tank, and you can't stop in Nanton without doing two things. One we did on the return, but for our first visit, we checked out the Bomber Command Museum, home of some great old Canadian planes and the Avro Lancaster Bomber.

We left Nanton and took the back roads for awhile and explored a bit of The Porcupine Hills. There's some amazing views on some amazing roads, with big long sweeping curves through the hills. From the photos you can see why this is known as big sky country!

Got to Lethbridge and stopped in to see our friends at the just newly named Crowsnest Trail Harley Davidson. They had a truck full of bikes and offered to take me out on a brand spankin' new 2014 Street Glide. How could I say no, and thank you Sandie Peterson for the honours.

Front row parking for bikes...love it! haha!

Just re-named today...Crowsnest Trail Harley Davidson.

Took the east side Hwy 23 on the way back but cut back across to Nanton and stopped in to Rumors Pub for one of their over the top stuffed burgers. It's why they made BCI's 2013 'Burger Map', as part of a great ride and preferred destination.
The other thing we stop for when in Nanton.....Rumors Pub burger :)
Kyla likes!!
