Rats!

Now, this isn't everyone's taste but I have a bit of a soft spot for rats, be it rat rods or rat bikes. There's something about a bike that's been put together by someone who just wants to get out there and ride, hammering together whatever works and not giving a damn about looking pretty. And it seems like many ratters like to add on bits and pieces, trinkets and memorabilia they collect on their journeys, which just add to the over all look of the bike. Here's Part 1 of a collection of photos of some notable rat bikes, including a few European versions.

No chrome allowed

Lots of tokens and memorabilia on this bike from Flat Lick, Kentucky

This beast has a bit of everything

A little leaky

Old fire extinguishers for fuel tank

This bike has some miles on it for sure

European version of the ratter

Is this an anti-theft deterrant?

Built to travel

Definitely a home-built
