Lawn bowling season has begun and, with Mother Nature kindly giving us some sunny, warm weather to kick things off, we had our first set of games. The greens are looking fantastic and in the best shape they've ever been in for this time of year. The grass action was fast and many teams had their troubles getting a good read on the weight, as well as the line.
Not so for The Bowling Stones, as we couldn't seem to miss in our first game of the year. Unfortunately, we got lulled into a false sense of security and fell asleep, a deadly mistake when up against HFTB (Here For The Beer). Down by 5 points after only two ends, we snapped awake and started bowling like we could, trying to make a game of it at least!

And, indeed we did, tying it up with one to go. To make it even better, it was a bit of a bowl off, each player matching shots until the skips got to play.Right down to the wire and a come from behind "W" for The Bowling Stones!
