If you want to talk about bikes that have dominated a sport, let's suggest KTM in their performance at The Dakar. This year, with KTM riders currently holding 1st and 3rd position and more in the 7th, 10th,11th and 13th positions, they could repeat as winners for the 14th time in a row. Quite a feat!

The support for KTM riders is unparalled and features a team consisting of 34 members onsite, along with 24 engines and 150 wheels. Three 26 ton MAN support trucks containing an abundance of tools and spare parts, three Land Rovers, plus 4 air-conditioned Adria motorhomes follow the riders as they grind out the stages. No doubt the riders appreciate the comfort of a luxury motorhome after a 12 hour day of some extreme riding.
With every bike stripped down and rebuilt before the race, you know preparations for the next Dakar begin the day the previous year's race ends. Right after the celebrations of course!
