Community Bike

I popped in to Casablanca Video to grab the next series of 'Game Of Thrones" and noticed the bicycles in the window of the shop next door, in what used to be the used book store. 'Goodlife' Community Bicycle Shop! Curious, I popped in to check it out and was greeted by Liam, sporting a friendly smile in his Carhatt coveralls. He graciously answered my multitude of questions and took me on a tour of the shop, introducing me to some of the community members working in the shop and explaining the concept of the 'Goodlife'. Think...learning space...reconditioned bicycles and parts...repair space and tools...mechanical education...shared expertise...workshops...yeah...community! And who can be a member? Anyone! 'Goodlife' is thousands of people of all ages, genders, orientations, abilities and backgrounds. Check them out by riding over and saying hi! And if you have a bike to donate, or parts, or just want to help out, members of the community are always welcome!
'The Goodlife' community bicycle shop is just off 4th St on 21 Ave., S.W., Calgary

Liam showed me the shop and introduced me to the spirit of 'The Good Life'
