The Can-Am Spyder isn't exactly a new concept. Back in 1910, Britain's Harry Morgan started the
Morgan Motor Company, producing 3 wheelers powered by V-twin engines. Much like the Henry Ford Model 'T', this was originally designed for those with modest means as a less expensive way to enjoy 'motoring'. The power to weight ratio was quite good as well, meaning these little machines could accelerate as fast as any car of the era and they were quite popular. Of course the Morgan Motor Company also produced cars which are still a popular machine to this day. In fact, the iconic Morgan 4/4 is the longest running production car in the world! You can also still purchase one of their Cyclecars, which will be part of the feature of my next post.
